Hansika Motwani is a famous child artist and now an upcoming heroine of Indian Film industry. She has done number of roles in Indian films and television.

Hansika was born on 9th August, 1991, in Mumbai. Her real name is "Hansika Pradeep Motwani". She is the youngest actress at the moment to have leading roles in bollywood movies.

Her father is Mr. Pradeep Motwani and mother is Mrs. Mona Motwani. While her father looks after Business, her mother is a popular Dermatologist. She also has a brother named Prashant Motwani.

Hansika is enrolled in the 12th Grade in the A levels. She attends Podar International School.

Hansika knows to speaks number of languages including Telugu, English, Hindi and Tulu, although her native tongue is Sindhi but she chiefly communicates in Hindi.


Hansika Motwani started her career as a child artist and won multiple awards as a child artist. Few of her series as a child artist are still being telecasted on the television. Hansika was featured in television shows – Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahui Thi and Hum Do Hain Na!

Apart from this she was also featured with Shahrukh Khan in the Santro Ad. She is one of the most graceful and pretty woman in India but her voluptuous figure are one of the best trait which makes her distinct from new South Indian Actress and Bollywood Actress.

After the commercial, Hansika Motwani was a star. She was loaded with offers for commercials. She did number of TV commercials for Pepsi, Samsung Electronics and Bournvita. One of the most noted offers that came for Hansika Motwani was for the film ‘Koi.. Mil Gaya’ that starred Hritik Roshan and Priety Zinta. The film was a smash hit.


Hansika Motwani was to start her film career in a film named ‘Yahoo’ which starred Govinda and Juhi Chawla. Juhi Chawla actually recommended her to the director, as she was impressed with her acting capabilities. But unfortunately the film delayed and finally could not be made.

Hansika made her debut in Puri Jagannadh's Telugu film, Desamuduru, starring opposite Allu Arjun. The film is about a crime reporter who falls in love with a sannyasi, played by Hansika.

She also has a Hindi film entitled He: The Only One in where she will be essaying the role of a killer, hell bent on taking revenge for her family. Hansika made her debut as a leading actress in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Ka Suroor - The Real Love Story. She played the role of Himesh Reshammiya's lover Ria. The film was released on 29th June 2007 and became a hit mostly with the masses across India. This has paved the way for her to be called a promising newcomer.

Hansika Motwani has played appreciable characters in films like ‘ Escape from Taliban’ , “Hawa’ and Dheeraj Kumar’s ‘Abra Ka Dabra’ that unfortunately lost at the box office. Hansika Motwani has worked with the superstar of the millennium, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in the film’ Hum Kaun Hai’.

Hansika made her debut as a lead actress in Kannada film Bindaas with Puneet Rajkumar.The film was released on 15th February 2008.

She won the prestigious Filmfare Best Debut Female Award in Telugu.

She has appeared in ads like Hyundai Santro with Shah Rukh Khan on actress Juhi Chawla’s recommendation, as well as Samsung, Bournvita and Pepsi.
