Malavika is a very popular Tamil actress.Malavika started her film career at a very young age of 19 when she debuted in the tamil movie Unnai Thedi opposite popular South Indian film star Ajith.The film was directed by Sundar and the film ended as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year 1999.

Malavika's another hit movie followed very soon when she acted in the tamil movie Anandha Poongatre. Malavika at her very small age at the film industry shown lots of skills which made her get established in the South Indian film industry.
But after that,she experienced a bit of bad patch in the years 2001-2003 when none of her films except 'Seenu' didn't do well.
Malavika also did a few Telugu *tollywood* films aswell.She acted in the Chandramukhi the Ranjni's one of the biggest hits.Then after she appeared as item number for the super hit song Valla Meenukum in the movie Chithiram.
