Reemma Sen was born on 29th October 1981 in Calcutta (now Kolkata), in a middle class family.

She completed high school from Calcutta (Kolkata), after which her family moved to Mumbai.

In Mumbai, she began her modelling career, appearing in a number of advertising campaigns. Nivea, Electrolux, Clinic Plus,Clinic Hair Oil, Nescafe, VIP Luggage, Borosoft were few of her modelling campaigns. She acted in a few music videos too like the song "Chandini Raatein".

Later on, Reema moved from modelling to acting soon after.

Her first film was Chitram, in Telugu, in which she acted opposite Uday Kiran directed by Teja. It was a love story where Reema returns to India from U.S.A along with her sister to get admitted in a college. She got good recognition for this movie.


Then she moved to Kollywood with the movie "Minnale", which is also star in a movie sounds did well. Reema played the role of Reena, a college girl in this movie.

Later she considered entering the Bollywood film industry  but her first Hindi film "Hum Ho Gaye Aap Ke" flopped, and she decided to continue working in Tamil cinema. 


She did over 10 Telugu films, including a hit film ‘Manasantha Nuvve’. Unfortunately she didn’t continue the success streak in Tollywood later on moved to Chennai and build her career with some meaty roles and exposing.

Reema was accused in the court along with Shilpa Shetty in April 2006, for indecent exposure in the photographs which were published in a Tamil newspaper Dinakaran. She was in trouble in December 2005 as her photographs were considered obscene.The report stated that the two actresses had failed to comply with earlier summonses for the same reason, hence the issuance of the warrants. The petitioner submitted that the paper had published "very sexy blow-ups and medium blow-ups" in its issues December 2005 and January 2006 issues, and which allegedly violated the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act 1986, Young Persons (Harmful Publications) Act 1956, and the Indian Penal Code Section 292 (Sale of Obscene Books). The petitioner further demanded that the images should be confiscated under the terms of the Press and Registration of Book Act 1867.


Reema won a Filmfare Best Female Debut (Tamil) in 2000 for her film Minnale. In 2010, she awarded Big Entertainment Most Entertaining Actress for Aayirathil Oruvan (Tamil) movie.


She was very hot and sexy at the beginning of the movie "Chitram" and can serve as a model for female actress. Presently Reema Sen doesn’t have many offers in her hand. However, the time of her career in Kollywood is very easy and is a glam goddess dances and incredible feeling sizzling at the Tamil box office.

Reemma Sen has played a sensational role of commercial sex worker in Bengali movie ‘Iti Srikanta’ where she has boldly performed bedroom scenes. The film is going to be dubbed in Tamil with the title ‘Ilavarasi’. ‘Ilavarasi’ is cleared with ‘A’ Certification by Censor Board. ‘Iti Srikanta’ is directed by a famous Bengali movie maker Anjan Das and is set in the Bengal of the 1910s. Soha Ali Khan and Adil have played the lead roles in the movie.

She is very close friend to top heroines Trisha and Shriya and often parties together. She attended recently a Private Party with Shriya Saran in Mumbai. She is seen Drunk dancing and goofing around with her friends in the flat. Reema is very upset with the leak her and Shriya private photos.

Reema admits she has fallen in love with Delhi-based industrialist Shiv Karan Singh but adds that there's still some time for marriage.

There were rumours that some thing is in between Reema and Vishal, the Telugu lad who is also going strong in Tamil movies.
