Tamanna Bhatia is a south Indian model/actress who started her film career through her debut film in Hindi called Chand Sa Roshan Chehra.

Tamanna is born on 21st December 1989 in Mumbai. Her complete name is Tamanna Bhatia.

Her father is Santhosh Bhatia and her mother is Rajni Bhatia. She has one brother and his name is Anand Bhatia.She can speak Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and English. 

Tamanna did schooling from Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Juhu and +2 from National College, Mumbai.

As soon as completing her +2 she has taken BA through distance education as she is busy with the films having no time to   attend the regular classes.

Tamanna Bhatia entered into her teens and movies at the same time and has worked in some successful Tamil and Telugu movies.


She earned her first salary at the age of 13 for acting in an ad. She gave treat to her family with that money at 'Coffee Day'. As Coffee Day was somewhat costly at the time, her first salary was fully spent, but that happiness still remains in her heart.
The 5'1 feet hight of Tamanna also did few a music albums before she entered the film industry.

In 2003, Tamanna Bhatia got her first movie offer when she was thirteen. It was a Bollywood movie called Chand Sa Roshan Chehra. She gave her best performance in this film.

Her debut film in Telugu is Sri in which she played the leading female role opposite Manoj Kumar.

Later her appearence in "Happy Days" directed by Sekhar Kammula which was big hit. Her Role in her movie "Happy Days" in Telugu brought her huge success in Tollywood . Her performance in the role of Madhu in happy days brought her critical acclaim.

Tamanna's debut in Tamil film industry with Kedi which did not do well at the box office. However, she was appreciated by the audience for the simple yet realistic portrayal of her role. er Tamil release Kalloori (2007) earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award.


Teenage sensation Tamanna is flooded with many offers in Telugu and Tamil. Although she has not many hits to her credit, she has huge fan following among the youth especially after the stupendous success of Happy Days. No wonder then that she gets better projects now.

Tamanna has done many ads in Tamil for big companies such as Shakti Masala, Saravana Stores and RMKV.  She stars in the commercial of Sun Direct.
